Had a blown air bag on my trailer, 2nd time this week, same air bag. Their technician found the cause to be a bad leveling valve, the tech took his time to figure out why the air bag would over lnflate, unlike the last shop that just replaced the air bag. I’ll be making First Response my first call from now on.

I went to FleetPride Service at 586 Broadway, Menands, NY for a NY inspection. The service advisor told me that the U-joint needed to be replaced, otherwise the truck would not pass inspection. I agreed and asked for an estimate. He told me it would take about 2 hours and quoted around $600, but also said they didn’t have the U-joint in stock. So I went to the Freightliner dealer in Albany, bought the U-joint myself, and returned the next morning for the replacement and inspection. In the afternoon, they called me and said the truck was ready. When I arrived, they gave me a bill of over $600 for labor only. I objected, because the day before I was clearly told it would be about 2 hours of labor. They then told me the service advisor was not there and asked me to wait. I waited about 35 minutes, asked again, and was told “he will be here soon.” After another 15 minutes, he finally showed up and said they charged 3.5 hours because the U-joint was rusty. This is not acceptable. The communication and pricing were completely inconsistent from the moment I arrived to the moment I left. Professional service should be transparent and consistent. After speaking with the front desk, we were instructed to bring our trailer in for an immediate assessment. However, after our driver spent 40 minutes traveling to your shop, the service manager informed us that the trailer would have to be dropped off and could not be looked at until the following day. This lack of internal communication and poor customer service resulted in significant wasted time for our driver. I hope you will take this feedback into account to improve your coordination moving forward.

Great customer service. Howard was very helpful &,knowledgeable .I would suggest using them for any type of truck related repair. They got me right in . I will definitely be using them in the future.
